Anybody ever use Geeksquad at best purchase to fix a broken camera?

So my d5100 broke after a tripod incident. The sensor was scratched badly, the mirror croaky, the shutter is stuck, the affair belongings the mirror is bent, the strip way behind the camera is ripped, and the viewfinder is busted because at that place is no mirror. It's a good thing you lot bought a warranty, otherwise you would of had to outright buy a new photographic camera, since MFG warranties do non cover adventitious impairment!

sensor - 150$
mirror + mirror assembly - 100$
shutter - 75$
+ any other stuff

Y'all should ask all-time-buy, but I don't really think so. It will probably price best-purchase less to get yous a new d5100 than what you bought it for originally, and then it is not worth as much to them. Then once again, I really don't know how they would handle it.

AWWWWW, and so they decided to repair my camera instead of junking information technology out! i idea it was actually bad, maybe i should break it again hehehe jkjk

Sounds similar it was hit by an RPG. Where did this incident accept place?

Nothing like this has e'er happened on whatsoever of my tripods.

What are they using to fix information technology? I thought it was Nikon The states policy to but let parts at authorized service centers.
